The Foundation is pleased to announce new autumn deadlines for all four of its funding programmes.
- The Mildred Blaxter fellowship scheme, which provides a year’s postdoctoral support for individuals who have recently completed a PhD in the field of the sociology of health and illness, invites applications by 31 October 2016.
- The postgraduate international conference travel grants scheme, which is intended to support postgraduate students and early-career researchers to present or co-present a paper relating to the sociology of health and illness at an appropriate overseas conference, invites applications by 31 October 2016 and 1 April 2017.
- The research grant development awards scheme, which ‘pump-priming’ funds for developing high-quality, innovative and multidisciplinary research applications relating to the sociology of health and illness, invites applications by 1 November 2016.
- The symposium and workshop scheme, which supports the development of the sociology of health and illness by funding symposia, small conferences and workshops, invites applications by 1 November 2016.
